2380150 - What connection type can be used in SAP Analytics Cloud to create a Live Data Connection to SAP Cloud Platform HANA database (SCP / HCP / HDB)?

• Path, Direct, SAP CP and Cloud connection types are available in SAP Analytics Cloud when creating new Live Data Connection to HANA.
• Proxy with HTTP or HTTPS protocol is not available anymore.
• Connection using Proxy option is deprecated and data is not getting retrieved any more.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2017.9

1. Go to Main Menu >> Connection area.
2. Create a new Live Data Connection > SAP HANA.
3. Under Connection Details part the above mentioned connection types are available.
4. Observe that PROXY and HTTP or HTTPS protocol cannot be chosen.

The proxy connection type is not officially supported for connecting to HANA / HANA Cloud Platform (HCP) / SAP Cloud Platform systems and is disabled.

• Please use the new SAP Cloud Platform (SAPCP) Connection that allows you to create connections to other SCP HANA systems (not for on-premise HANA systems).
