2357652 - Learning expiration notification not received even when automatic process settings are correct

The Learning Expiration Email Notification automatic process is scheduled to run and it executes without any issues, however no expiration/overdue emails are received.

1. Have a course assigned to a user with a due date >
2. Schedule the Learning Expiration Email Notification to run with particular threshold and reminder values such that the expiration/overdue email needs to be triggered >
3. The Learning expiration (or overdue email in case the due date is in past) is not triggered to the user, even when the automatic process settings are correct.

The cause for this is that the settings of the expiration emails at the item level are not present.

This happens mainly when the Learning Expiration Email Notification automatic process is scheduled after the items have already been created in the system.

The settings at the item level override the ones from the automatic process level, hence the expiration emails are not being sent to the users.

Had the items been created in the system after the automatic process was scheduled, it would inherit the settings for the threshold and reminder from the automatic process and trigger emails accordingly.

The resolution for this would be one of the following:

• Manually add the settings at the item level.
  
  
• Click the "Propagate settings to all active items" option in the automatic process level, so that the new settings will be applied to all active items.
