Resolution
1. ADMIN CENTER SETUP
- You will need the following permission in order to access and manage the different option in Admin center:
- Settings for password reset workflow are configured via Admin Center > Password & Login Policy Settings, you have the options for the values:
- You can set question numbers, list, personalize security questions in the link: Manage security questions.
2. END USER WORKFLOW - Workflow for “Reset passwords using security questions accessed through email link”
- User clicks Forgot Password link in login page
OR - Fill in username and click Next
OR - User should receive an email such as below:
- Click the link in the email to answer security questions that user set.
- If user filled in the correct answer(s) and clicked Submit, system will go to reset password page
- Fill in the new password which matches with password policy and click Submit, password will be reset successfully
3. END USER WORKFLOW - Workflow for “Reset passwords using security questions accessed through system”
- The workflow is similar to the previous one through email link, the difference is that users will go to the answer security question page directly after the second step, instead of receiving an email first.
4. END USER WORKFLOW - Normal Password Reset Workflow
- This is enabled if you selected “Reset Password using a URL accessed through an email link” in “Password & Login Policy Settings” page.
- User clicks Forgot Password link in login page
- Fill in username and click Next
- Link is sent by email
- User should receive an email looking like this
- Click the link in email, and reset password in the page. Password should be reset successfully.
