2339802 - Hybrid templates: EC and non-EC users - Compensation Management

Symptom

What is a Hybrid template? And how does it work?

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

Template with EC integration, and configured as Hybrid template, has a 2 Custom fields with Import Key configured, and no EC Field Mapping.

import key 2.png

In the UDF, the values are imported correctly for the custom fields.

However, when launching the forms the values are not updated - they remain as 0.

Cause

The concept of Hybrid template in EC is to support both EC and non-EC users. Data for EC users still comes from EC while for non-EC users the data comes from UDF.

As the users from the example are EC users, their data cannot be imported using UDF (Employee Import). It will only come from Employee Central (Employee Files > Employment Information).

Resolution

If you would like to keep them as EC users, then you will need to map those fields to EC custom fields to pull in the data.

If you would like the users to be non-EC users and pull data from UDF, you should not configure anything under Employee Files > Employment Information.
