2339542 - How to connect to SAP SuccessFactors from SAP Analytics Cloud

• You need to connect to SAP SuccessFactors (SF) from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• You are not sure of the URL and information required.

SAP Analytics Cloud connects to SAP SuccessFactors using the SAP SuccessFactors OAuth 2.0 application.
More details can be found in the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite OData API: Developer Guide and SAP Analytics Cloud documentation: Import Data Connection to SAP SuccessFactors (or Import Data Connection to SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics).

1. Log into SAP SuccessFactors.
2. Go to Admin Center > Company Settings > Manage OAuth2 Client Applications and select + Register Client Application.
   **Note: These steps may change. Please, follow the steps indicated in the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite OData API: Developer Guide documentation to confirm you are following the correct steps (See Registering your OAuth Client Application).
   **Note: th below screenshots are only a guideline taken on January 2017.
3. Generate the X.509 certificate.
   The application name can be freely chosen (e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud), however the application URL should be the SAP Analytics Cloud Tenant URL.
   
   
   
   
4. After completing the details for the certificate download and register it.
   
   
   
5. Once registered, you can access the complete information required by SAP Analytics Cloud.
   
   
   
6. Complete all the information required in SAP Analytics Cloud:
   
1. URL: you can extract this information from the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite documentation.
2. Note: Remove the /odata/v2/ form the URL.
3. User ID: User account able to query SAP SuccessFactors.
4. API Key: Obtained from the registered client for SAP BusinessObjects Cloud. It is also called API Key in SAP SuccessFactors.
5. Private Key: this is the .pem certificate that you downloaded from the registered client.
6. Company ID: this is your SuccessFactors company ID.
