2332910 - 'EC to ERP Employee Organizational Assignment Process Properties' of the standard content 'iFlow: EC to ERP - Employee Organizational Assignment Replication v1.0'

Symptom

This KBA explains the process properties exposed to the customers for the standard content 'iFlow: EC to ERP - Employee Organizational Assignment Replication v1.0'.

These properties are exposed via Environment extensions in Boomi and are used to extend the integration pack at the process level to override default information such as process properties.

And these configurations are applied at deployment time.

In the Extensions dialog of Boomi, you can set values for extensions of the processes deployed to Atoms attached to the selected environment.

Note: Dynamic process properties such as the last modified date can't be changed here since they are connected with the Atom, not with the environment.

  1. To open the Extensions dialog, login to Boomi and navigate to 'Manage -> Atom Management' and select the environment.
  2. In the Environment Properties tabclick 'Environment Extensions'.
  3. Now under Process Filter select iFlow: EC to ERP - Employee Organizational Assignment Replication v1.0
  4. Then click on 'Process Properties' option on the left and select 'EC to ERP Employee Organizational Assignment Process Properties'.

5. The process properties available under this selection along with their explanation is as follows. To add customerspecific input, deselect the Use Default? flag.

  • ECERPORG_COMPANY [default = blank] Filter for the Employee Central legal entity of employment. Separate multiple legal entities with commas. If you want to transfer all legal entities, leave the parameter blank.
  • ECERPORG_FULL_TRANSMISSION_START_DATE [default = 01/01/2010] Enter the date from which data transfer from Employee Central to the SAP ERP HCM system begins.
  • ECERPORG_TRANSFER_DEPARTMENT_ASSIGNMENT [default = X] Indicates, whether employee department, division, and business unit assignments should be transferred. If this parameter is set to X and there are neither department nor division nor business unit assignments to be transferred, existing organizational unit assignments in the SAP ERP HCM system are delimited or deleted. If this parameter is blank, no department, division, and business unit assignments are transferred. Existing organizational unit assignments in the SAP ERP HCM system stay as they are. We recommend to use the default setting (= X).
  • ECERPORG_USE_EXTERNAL_COST_CENTER_ID [default = blank] Indicates if the external cost center ID is used for mapping.
  • ECERPORG_INITIAL_LOAD [default = blank] Set to X to trigger a full load in the next process call. The flag will not reset itself, you will have to reset it to blank to enable delta handling again.
  • ECERPORG_READ_MANAGER_COMPANY [default = blank] Set to X to activate. If you activate this option, the process will read the company of the manager and deliver it in the Web service.

 Tip: For performance reasons we recommend that you leave this parameter blank. Instead, use the SAP ERP HCM system to identify the personnel number of the employee's manager and to create the employeemanager relation. The SAP ERP HCM system reads the key mapping from the PAOCFEC_EEKEYMAP table to identify the manager's personnel number. If only one personnel number is found, this is used. If several entries are found, the system checks if there is a personnel number related to the employee's company. If yes, it uses this personnel number. If no, it uses the latest personnel number that was valid at the start of the employee's organizational assignment. If the system can't determine a personnel number for the manager, it issues an error message.

  • ECERPORG_REPLICATE_JOB_ASS [default = blank] Set to X to activate replication of job assignments.
  • ECERPORG_REPLICATE_INACTIVE_JOB_INFO [default = blank] Set to X to replicate inactive job information records. Note that the SAP ERP HCM backend system doesn't differentiate between active and inactive job information records.
  • ECERPORG_REPLICATE_POSITION_ASSIGNMENT [default = blank] Set to X to activate replication of position assignments.
  • ECERPORG_REPLICATE_CFIELDS [default = blank] Set to X to activate replication of custom fields.
  • ECERPORG_REPLICATE_JOB_RELATION [default = blank] Set to X to activate the replication of job relations, such as the matrix manager.
  • ECERPORG_REPLICATION_TARGET_SYSTEM [default = blank] Enter your SAP ERP HCM system, to which the organizational assignment data from Employee Central is replicated. This is information is used in the Employee Central Data Replication Monitor.
  • ECERPORG_SUPPORT_MONITORING [default = blank] Set to X to send notifications and error messages from the middleware to the Employee Central Data Replication Monitor.
  • ECERPORG_COUNTRY [default = blank] Using this parameter you can restrict the replication of employee organizational assignments to the same countries to which you also restrict employee master data replication. If you enter several values, they must be separated by commas.

 Example: You have an SAP ERP HCM system in place for a specific country such as Germany. This means you want to replicate employee master data and organizational assignments of employees located in Germany to this system, but prevent the replication of all other employees and their organizational assignments.

To use this option:

1. Check in your SAP ERP HCM system, to which country or countries you have restricted employee master data replication. To do this, in Customizing for Personnel Management choose Integration with SuccessFactors Employee Central Replicating Data from Employee Central to SAP ERP Country Filtering Restrict Employee Master Data Replication to Certain Countries .

2. Enter the same country ISO code or codes in this parameter, separated by commas if needed.

ECERPORG_EMPLOYEE_CLASS [default = blank] If you want to filter the replication of organizational assignments using the employee class from the employee's Job Information as a filter criterion, enter the employee class ID or IDs here. If you enter several IDs, they must be separated by commas. Leave blank if you want to replicate all organizational assignments.

Example To filter for organizational assignments of employees with the employee classes Employee, Consultant, or Contractor, enter M,C,R (with or without blanks).

ECERPORG_IGNORE_JOB_INFO_EMPLSTATUS [default = blank] If you want to prevent Job Information records with certain employment statuses from being replicated, enter the status ID or IDs here. If you enter several IDs, they must be separated by commas. If you enter an employment status, the middleware filters out all Job Information records in which this status is set. In SAP ERP HCM this means that existing associations are delimited. Leave blank if you want to replicate all organizational assignments, independent of the employment status.

Example Using this parameter you can have the position assignment ended in SAP ERP HCM for employees who are terminated in Employee Central. To achieve this, enter T. The terminated employees are assigned the default position in SAP ERP HCM. If an employee is rehired later, her or she is assigned a "real" position again from the rehire date. The employee's organizational assignment then shows a gap between the termination and the rehire date. If the employment status T means Terminated and T1 means Retired in your Employee Central account, you could also enter T,T1 (with or without blanks) to prevent Job Information records with the statuses Terminated and Retired from being replicated.
