How to populate object information from EC to custom portlets or objects?

After creating a custom object containing externalCode as users and other fields that are Objects (Foundation Object and Generic Objects), you need to populate the data of the user from Employee Central (EC) to this Custom Object.

Example of a Custom Object:

NOTE: Please make sure that the externalCode is of USER type and the "Subject User Field" in the Object is externalCode.

Create an "OnChange" Rule and attach the rule to the field externalCode in the custom object you created.
