Reproducing the Issue
Before opening an case with Product Support
Please be sure that before you open a support case with Product Support, you have performed the following sanity checks on your configuration/data - bearing in mind most issues are due to a configuration issue -:
- The feature is correctly enabled, as described in the related Implementation Handbook
- Correct permissions are granted to the administrator/end-user to be able to use the feature (as specified in the Implementation Handbook)
- Has the configuration changed recently?
- Was it working before the recent changes?
- Can the recent change be un-done so re-testing can be performed?
- Can the issue be reproduced for just 1 or multiple admins?
- If the issue is reproducible for all it is still likely to be a permissions issue.
- If it seems to be related to 1 or a small admin population - the next step is to check and verify the permissions are correctly granted.
- Is the data correct? (Ensure that any recent configuration changes you have made have not caused any data inconsistencies)

Tips & Tricks
Below are some tips and tricks recommended by Product Support, which you should consider first before opening a Support case
Typically most Concurrent Employment implementations issues are caused by skipping steps mentioned in the Concurrent Employment Administration Guide (found here). Some notes about implementing this features-:
- Please read through the entire Administration Guide and ensure all steps mentioned in the guide are followed to enable this feature - its less than 20 pages long...
- Do not forget to grant field level permissions to Manage Permission Role > User Permissions > Employee Data > Employment Details > Add new Employment
1. Can we use other BizX Modules in conjunction with a Concurrent Employment? (PM, GM, EP etc).
- Yes this is supported by Concurrent Employments. Employee Profile, Goal Plans and Performance Forms can be created for the main AND concurrent employments
- Note: If logged/proxied in as the employee with multiple employments, use the switcher under the options menu, at the top of each page, to switch between employments
- From the employee level, when switching to an employment, all pages selected (Goals, Performance, Employee Files) will display data relative to the selected employment
2.Can I Terminate the Main employment and continue to manage the employee using one of their other employments?
- No. It is not be possible to terminate the initial/main employment (i.e. the employment to which the users account is attached to) and continue maintaining any other employment.
- Either all employments need to be terminated or only employment that were not the initial employments.
- If it is necessary to terminate the Initial employment, transfer the employee's main employment to the new job role, then End/Terminate the other employment that is to become the main employment
3. How do I search for multiple employments for one user?
- The search (People Search as wel as My Employee Files Search) will consolidate all employments for that employee (i.e. show only one hit no matter how many employments an employee has)
- As a consequence, the user always navigates to the employee’s initial employment in My Employee Files > Employment Information to be able to look at the different assignments.
- It is advisable to first terminate all of the Concurrent Employments (meaning make sure the Termination workflows are approved and the employments terminated/ended)
- Always terminate the Main employment last!
- If all employments will be terminated, one Workflow will be triggered per employment.
- Both approvals are completely independent from each other. The approvers have no information about the other approval.
- We cannot prevent a situation in which one employment termination is rejected and the others approved.
- Either use "Add New Employee" wizard to trigger the "Use This Match" feature, or the "Rehire Inactive Employee" wizard
- All the employments need to be Terminated before the employee can be rehired
- They can be rehired from any of their past employments

Resolution
When opening a support case, please ensure the following information is attached to the case
- Screenshot of the Error Message - also copy/paste the content of the error message to the case if possible (for JAVA errors or errorIds)
- Timestamp - Copy/paste the text from the "Show version information" popup into the case
- Is the issue replicatable for all users or just some/one?
- Screenshots of granted users Role-Based Permissions settings for Advances
- Screenshots of UI configurations
- Provide the configuration XML if relevant
- Please provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue you are encountering - preferably including screenshots - Please make sure that the screenshot is full screen (meaning to show complete web page view)
- When creating an issue, please answer following questions (answer whichever is applicable, if a question doesn't apply in a scenario then answer "Not Applicable"):
- Did this issue start recently?
- Was the same feature or functionality working before?
- Is the issue reproducible for other users?
- If the issue is realted to a Picklist or Object field, then please attach an export of the Picklist/Object data
