2293654 - Unabled to click Save when creating/editing a Business Rule

When creating a new or editing an existing Business Rule, when clicking "Save", the Rule does not save and nothing happens

The "Rule Type" picklist is corrupted. If you try to view the Rule Type picklist via Admin Center > Configure Object Definition, the picklists will only show 1 effective dated record.

When you Export the picklist and check, there are several Effective Dated records for that picklist -:

As per the error message returned by the Import framework when trying to correct this issue via Import -: 1. Some corruption on internal code happened for object type: PickList.

This issue is not general, and is infact an Environment issue (it does not impact all instances). There is no patch/fix planned as this is infact a data issue.

To get this issue resolved, please open an case with Product Support, as Development Engineering will need to be engaged to correct the issue with the InternalCode values. (See CRF-11400 as example)

You can still create Business Rules without specifying a Rule Type - as Rule Type is not a required field and is not required for any Business Rules to work.

You can fix the impacted rule via 'Manage Data'.

Navaigate to >Admin Center    >Employee Files   >Manage Data

In the 'Search' options, in the first drop-down, select 'Rule' and in the second drop-down select an impacted rule:

By selecting >Take Action: Make Correction, you can remove the value maintained in the Rule Type field and save. This will resolve the issue for that rule and will allow you to view and edit the rule in 'Configure Business Rules' page:

This can also be done via import by removing the value maintained in rule type field and import the rule as full purge on the 'Import and Export Data' page.
