2289026 - Deactivate Position Field in Termination Portlet - Employee Central

The field Deactivate Position is not available during termination process of an employee. We are referring to the following field:

• Position Management

This field will be available if all of the following conditions are met:

• The employee, who will be terminated, is assigned to a position.
• The position doesn't have any other incumbent now or in the future.
• The position doesn't have any active child position now or in the future.
• The position doesn't have any Right to Return in the future.
• The position isn't referenced in any Position Matrix Relationships of other positions in the future.
• The logon user has permission to edit the "Effective Status" field of position. The user needs to have either "Correct" or "Insert" permission - depending on if the data operation to deactivate the position will be a correction of an existing record or will insert a new record.
• The position has not pending or active Job Requistions. (To remove the link between the Job Req and the Position, you must remove the position ID from the Position field on the Job Req.)
• There are no pending workflows for the Position or any Job Info workflows referencing the position, these workflows must be approved or declined. 

As of 1711, you will now have the ability to disable this field from the termination portlet

To do so:

1. Admin Center

2. Position Management Settings

3. UI Customizing Tab

4. Disable the Deactivate Position in Employee Termination Screen

Please Note: 
When you deactivate a position via this process the Position and any time in Position related fields will be removed from the Termination record of the user. The is logic in place so if the Position is a required field, when you deactivate the position the termination record can successfully save without a Position maintained.
