2282930 - Substitution Manager not Able to View tasks of Actual Manager Under My Managing Area

You have a manager John , and manager Jane  has substituted his place.

However, manager Jane is not able to view  tasks of manager John in Manage My Area workcenter.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter.
2. Go to Substitutions view.
3. You can see manager John is substituted by manager Jane.
4. Open  Manage My Area of manager Jane 
5. Go to Common Task view.
6. Select Employee Services on Behalf.
7. Manager Jane cannot see manager John's tasks .

The Manage My Area is the workcenter that is assigned typically to line managers, and the Call ESS on Behalf functionality is to enable managers to perform Employee Self Services activities on behalf of the employees who report directly to them.

When one manager Jane substitutes another manager John , the employees reporting to the manager John now appear in the Employee Services On Behalf list of Jane .

But manager John himself does not appear in the list, since manager John does not report to manager Jane and Manager John would appear in John manager's list only.

If you want other employees(irrespective of Reporting Line Structure) to come into this Call Employee Services On Behalf list, then you have to code for it in PDI, using the enhancement spot MMA_ESS_ON_BEHALF (Manage My Area - Call Employee Services On Behalf).
