2269350 - Edit Candidate Name in Application Page

Recruiting User is unable to edit candidate's first name and last name in Candidate Application Page even if Edit Candidate Snapshot button permission is enabled and configured.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

• Once the recruiter opens the application page, the system takes a snapshot of application. After that, no changes can be made to the Application.
• The 'Edit Candidate Snapshot' only allows some fields to be changed, thus First name and Last Name can not be edited using Edit Candidate Profile Snapshot.

In this case, there are 4 scenarios:

• A change can be made to the applicant's name using the Integration Center (Please refer to KB article 3008865 - Update applicant name using Integration Center - Recruiting Management)
• In Single Stage Application environment, a change can not be made to the name on Application Page.
• In Multi-Stage Application environment, the candidate can edit the name in the application by giving application field permission in Job Requisition XML under application-status-config field permission element.
• From 2H 2023 Release onwards, recruiters will be able to edit the candidate name in the application page, this action can only be achieved in "the new redesigned workbench page". Make sure that the Edit Candidate Snapshot button permissions is configured in the application XML template.

Please follow these steps after permission is given:

1. Have the candidate login to the career site and go to 'Job Management'.
2. Select Edit Application:
   
   
   
   
   
3. Edit the First Name and Last Name as needed:
   
   
   
   

4. After clicking on 'Update' button, the value will be updated in Application Page:
   

NOTE: The changes to the fields in the Candidate Snapshot done in the New Redesigned Workbench will sync to the Candidate Profile only if the user doing the changes has write permission to these fields in the Candidate Profile Template as part of the Dynamic Group.
