2244928 - Unable to import Succession Data Model or Save Manage Business Configuration

You would receive an application error when  importing the Succession Data Model in provisioning or saving Manage Business Configuration

The application error id would be accompanied by: homeAddress should have been configured in Succession Data Model

Via provisioning

1. log in to provisioning and access the Company ID for the data model you are attempting to import
2. Go to Import/Export Data Model
3. Attempt to import the Succession Data Model
4. Result  error: homeAddress should have been configured in Succession Data Model 

VIA BCUI

1. Go to Manage Business Configuration
2. Save
3. Error: Result  error: homeAddress should have been configured in Succession Data Model 

The issue is caused by a data mismatch between the Succession Data Model (SDM) and the Country Specific for Succession Data Model (CSF-SDM).

As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your implementation partner. If you are no longer working with an implementation partner, contact SAP Cloud Support and provide the following

1. Customer must provide a written approval for below change  in provisioning

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

1. Export Succession Data Model (SDM) and the Country Specific for Succession Data Model (CSF-SDM) and Backup
2.  Remove all countries from Country Specific for Succession Data Model (CSF-SDM) and import the empty CSF-SDM
3. Import the  Succession Data Model (CSF-SDM)
4.  Import the backup copy of the Country Specific for Succession Data Model (CSF-SDM)
