2242583 - Application Error Accessing Configure Object Definitions, Manage Configuration UI, Configure Business Rules and Manage Business Configuration

Accessing 'Configure Object Definitions', 'Manage Configuration UI', 'Configure Business Rules' and 'Manage Business Configuration' results in an application error.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to Admin Tools > Configure Object Definitions and select any one MDF object from the available list in the dropdown
2. Navigate to Admin Tools > Manage Configuration UI  and select any one Configuration UI from the available list in the dropdown
3. Navigate to Admin Tools > Configure Business Rules and select any Business Rule from the available list in the dropdown
4. Navigate to Admin Tools > Manage Business Configuration

All of the above actions results in the following error: "An Application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support if the issue keeps occurring"

Alternativley you may recieve an error stating the following:

"Cannot read property 'defaultValue' of null"

English US language is not enabled for the instance.

All of the Metadata Framework, is configured of the en_Us (English US) language. It is a system requirement for the en_US (English US) language to be enabled.

English US language needs to be enabled for the instance.

To validate if English US is enabled for the instance or not, navigate to Options > Change Language. If the 'English US' is not listed as one of the available languages for the instance, please create a support case to have 'English US' language enabled for the instance.

Alternativley this can be done via Provisioning, if you have Provisioning access.
