2162887 - Position Management: Job Relationships portlet does not propagate with the Matrix Relationships from Position when selecting a Position in Job Information

When Hiring or Rehiring an employee via any of the Hire Wizards, the Job Relationships portlet is not propagating based on the Matrix Relationships defined on the Position being assigned to the employee.

Actions

When using "Actions" > Change Job and Compensation Information to change the Position assignment of an Employee, the Job Relationships portlet is not propagating based on the Matrix Relationships defined on the Position being assigned to the employee.

Employee Central: Hire Wizards & MSS UI

• Make a change to Job Information and Job Relationships Information
• Select a Position in Job Information
• The Job Relationships section does not propagate automatically with the new relationships

This is expected. The UI will not propagate the Job Relationships based on the Position Matrix Relationships upon Position selection in Job Information

When the Job Information data is saved at the end of the process (be it a Hire, Rehire or a Job Change), an asynchronous action is taken by the system to update the Job Relatiopnships after the transaction has been successfully saved.

The system will then update Job Relationships "post save" based on the Matrix Relationships of the Position. This is currently the case for the following UI's:

• Add New Employee
• Manage Pending Hires
• Rehire Inactive Employee
• Actions > Change Job and Compensation Information

SPECIAL NOTE: Currently the asynchronous job is not executed when performing an Internal Hire from Manage Pending Hires. This is a functional gap and currently expected.
