We want to let you know about some important changes we're making to SuccessFactors product and its support for Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 11 (IE11) Web browser.

SuccessFactors will discontinue support of IE11 as of QA 2021. Currently most existing functionality still works in IE11 but we continue to introduce new capabilities in areas of the user interface that may not be supported in IE11.

Why has SuccessFactors discontinued support of IE11?

• Product Innovation and Ease of Use - As we optimize the ease of use and invest in new functionality to create more value for our customers, we must leverage new technologies commonly supported by more recent browser versions. Unfortunately, these technologies frequently do not work in out dated browser versions such as IE11, which was originally released in 2013.
  
  
• Customer Requirements to Support Latest Technologies & Browsers - Our customers are increasing their rate of adoption of newer browsers and versions. In order to maintain our commitment to meet our customers' current and future business requirements, we continually adjust our focus on current technologies. In this case, we will focus on newer browser versions and technologies.
  
  
• Customers and Users have accelerated moving off of IE11 - Driven by key application vendors including Microsoft. Microsoft has stopped support for IE11 for its Teams web application, it no longer supports IE11 for Windows 11 (released in Sep 2020), and it has announced EOL for IE11 support for its Microsoft 365 suite, which includes the Office web applications, Outlook, Sharepoint, and OneDrive.
  
  

What should I do to prepare?

If you plan to adopt new SuccessFactors functionality, then we recommend that you partner with your Information Technology (IT) department or counterparts to organize your upgrade path as soon as possible. SuccessFactors recommends using  the latest version of our other supported browsers: Microsoft Edge (Chromium, not Legacy EdgeHTML), Chrome, or Firefox.
