2146039 - Don’t send emails older than (in days) - Recruiting

Symptom

What is the "Don’t send emails older than (in days)" parameter ?

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting

Resolution

  • The parameter “Don’t send emails older than (in days)” in admin tools > manage recruiting settings is a mandatory field. It is used to avoid sending emails older than a certain number of days. This may happen if the email job fails, and the emails are held in a queue. Should the job start again, it would release the emails in the queue. However this parameter will only keep emails x# of days old in the queue.
  • PLEASE NOTE: this field was introduced later than other parameters in the same page. If this is not valued like:

  • Then it is strongly recommended to add a number (of days for the delay). Without this number disqualification emails could not work properly.
  • Also trying to save other parameters without filling the Don’t send emails older than (in days) will cause this error message:
