Symptom

  • We will review the purpose behind the 'Min' and 'Max' categories within the detailed 360 Report. It's a simple, but important concept to grasp in order to correctly interpret the results from your company's 360 process.

Resolution

  • In the Detailed 360 Report, the ratings for each item are displayed as an average rating by participant category. The Min and Max values indicates the lowest and highest overall average rating provided by any individual. It rounds the number up or down to the nearest tenth. E.g. If the minimum overall average rating provided by an individual was 2.46. The Min value will appear as 2.50 on the Detailed 360 Report as the rating is rounded to the nearest tenth.

  • Average ratings are included in the bar graph.  The gray bar, labeled “all” represents an average across all participant categories.  The purple bar shows an average of all ratings except for “self.”  Each of the other bars show the average ratings by participant category for that item.
