1981017 - In your Sales Order no Form Templates are Displayed When Selecting Preview

In your Sales Order, no form templates are displayed when selecting preview.

1. Go to the Sales Order work center.
2. Go to the Sales Order view.
3. Select the Sales Order XYZ (XYZ represents the identification of sales order).
4. Select Preview.

No template is displayed

In the form template selection you have defined a default form with no rules maintained. This form cannot be selected by the system as the template variant (country, language) does not exist in application and user management.

Verify the settings in the form template selection :

1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Form Template Selection view.
3. Select Sales Order.

You can see different template maintained :

Template_ABC (no rules maintained => default template)
Template_DEF (no rules maintained)
Template_GHI (no rules maintained)

Verify the settings in Form template maintenance :

1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Form template maintenance view.
3. Select the form template group : Sales Order.

You can see that the Template_ABC is only maintained for country : Country_ABC s and language : LANG_ABC

Verify the country and language for the Sales Order XYZ :

1. Go to the Sales Order work center.
2. Go to the Sales Order view.
3. Select the Sales Order XYZ.
4. Edit the Sales Order.
5. Go to View ALL.
6. Go to the Involved Parties tab.

The country of the template would be the country of the Seller party.
The language of the template would be the language maintained for the Bill-to party (Account > General tab > Language).

In case the country and language are not the one defined in the default template Template_ABC no template will be selected by the system.

There are two possibilities to solve this issue:

1. You can add a new template variant in Form Template Maintenance for the Template_ABC using the country and language used in Sales Order XYZ.
2. You can restrict the rules in the form template selection by adding Country_ABC, the system will then check the next template available.
