1944380 - In a Service Order the Error "Products w/ item group Spare part (engineer pick-up/sales) not supported for location of srv provision" is Triggered

1. Go to the Service Orders work center.
2. Go to Service Order processing View
3. Search and edit any Service Order
4. Click in the View all Button
5. Navigate to the Service and Spare Parts
6. Enter the respective product 

One of the below error messages is triggered :

Products w/ item group Spare part (engineer pick-up/sales) not supported for location of srv provision

Products w/ item group Product – delivery-based not supported for location of srv provision On-Site

You have defined multiple distribution channels for the sales unit.

In a Service Order  if  you have defined multiple distribution channels for a sales unit, the system will always take the first  entry in the master data. If you would like to ensure that the Item Type XX will be determined you need to select the respective Sales Organization and Distribution channel for which in the Product Master Data the Item Group XX (XX represents the item type) has been defined.

1. Go to the Service Orders work center.
2. Create new Service Order via Common Tasks view.
3. Enter the respective Account.
4. Press the view all button.
5. Navigate to the Pricing and Invoicing tab.
6. Select the Invoicing sub tab.
7. Enter the respective Sales Unit.
8. Select the Distribution Channel.
9. Navigate to the Service and Spare Parts.
10. Enter the respective product.

The Item Type XX will now be determined by the system and the error will not appear.
