1889658 - How to Display Master Data Values In A Report Even If Key Figures Are Zero

Symptom

You want to display all values (master data) for a charactertistic in a report, even if there are no key figure values (and thus the row with this master data value would normally be not displayed at all).

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center, view Design Reports.
  2. Find your report.
  3. If it is a standard report, click on New > Report as Copy. If you created this report yourself, click on Edit with > Report Wizard.
  4. Go to step 4 and mark the check box Show Master Data Value for the respective characteristic.

The effect of this setting will be that all values for this characteristic will be shown in the report, regardless of whether there are key figure values for them or not. However please avoid using this setting excessively (for too many fields) - depending on the volume of master data, this may lead to performance issues in your report.
