1836112 - You are not Able to Cancel a Customer Contract

Symptom

You are not able to cancel a customer contract.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Go to the Contracts view.
  3. Search for the contract ABC (ABC represents the ID of the contract).
  4. Edit the contract ABC and select the View All button.
  5. Go to the General tab and select the Renewal and Cancelation subtab.
  6. Cancelation Reason field is grayed out, hence you are not able to cancel the contract.

Cause

Since the Fulfillment Status of the Item is Finished for the reported contract, the Cancelation is not possible anymore.

Follow the steps below to check the Fulfillment Status: 

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Go to the Contracts view.
  3. Search for the contract ABC (ABC represents the ID of the contract).
  4. Edit the contract ABC and select the View All button.
  5. Go to the Items tab and select the line Item.
  6. Check for the Fulfillment Status field.

Resolution

This is the expected behavior of the Business ByDesign.
