1719641 - Inconsistent Filtering for Planning Area in Mass Change of Materials

You have a requirement to do Mass Change for some Material for a specific Planning Area. But when you use Advanced Filter for filtering with specific Planning Area, Mass Change screen displays all the Planning Area of Selected materials.

1. Go to Product Data work center.
2. Select Materials view.
3. Select Advanced Search link.
4. Select the required Planning Area ID.
5. Select Go button.
6. Select required Materials and select Mass Change button.
7. Select Planning in Show field.

Here, all the Planning Areas of the selected materials are visible instead of what was selected in the Advanced Search.

For the Mass Change screen, the anchor is the Material ID. If there are multiple planning areas maintained for a material, then all those planning areas are listed in the mass change screen even if you choose a specific planning area in advanced search.

This is due to that fact that, when the user clicks on mass change, the selected material IDs are passed to the mass change screen and not the planning area ID. For all these material IDs, the planning areas are fetched.

This is the standard behavior.

In the Mass Change screen, you can further select the Material based on the Planning Area using CTRL key in the keyboard.
