1715569 - Error Message: Cannot set Timeline of the Org Unit XYZ, Employee assigned from DD/MM/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY

When you try to activate or end the Validity of the Organizational Unit XYZ, system throws below error message:

Cannot set Timeline of the Org Unit, Employee assigned from DD/MM/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY

Or

Timeline for org unit XYZ not allowed; employees assigned from DD1.MM1.YYYY1 to DD2.MM2.YYYY2 

1. Go to Organizational Management work center
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks
3. Select Org Unit XYZ
4. Select Edit Org Unit button and choose End Validity option

The cause for this error message is that, some Employee is assigned to the Org Unit XYZ with active Validity. To verify, follow the below steps:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks
3. Select Org Unit XYZ
4. Go to Timelines tab

Here, you can find the Employee assignment for this Org Unit.

The system works as designed.

It is not possible to delimit the Org unit XYZ, since it has Employee reference to it.

If you want to delimit the Org unit XYZ, then the Employee should be transferred to another Org unit in Personnel Administration work center using Transfer Employee in Regular tasks view.
