1669367 - Error: 'Record Selection: {Database Field: <null>}', when refreshing a report in Crystal Reports that uses a SQL Expression Fields

• Error: '{Database Field: <null>}'
• When refreshing a report in Crystal Reports that use Perform Grouping on Server, and having a group based an SQL Expression fields, it fails with the error:
        
  Error: 'Record Selection: {Database Field: <null>}'

• SAP Crystal Reports 2008

1. In Crystal Reports, create a report off any data source.
2. Create a SQL Expression Fields.
3. Create a group using the SQL Expression Fields.
4. Insert a numeric database field in the Details section of the report.
5. Insert  a summary "Sum" for the database field inserted in the details section
6. Suppress or Hide the Details section.
7. Create a Record Selection using a database fields that is not in the report design yet.
8. Select the Report Options: Perform Grouping on Server.
9. When refreshing the report the “Formula Workshop – Record Selection Formula” will open and it is written in the upper left corner:
     
   'Error: Record Selection: {Database Field: <null>'
