2870620 - Expiring Kerberos ticket for service user account - SAP Cloud Platform Big Data Service

Symptom

  • A regular BDS user has not sudo'd to the service account for over 24 hours
  • Running a cron job as a service account user on Kerberos cluster fails with the following error:

    19/12/04 21:05:03 WARN ipc.Client: Exception encountered while connecting to the server : javax.security.sasl.SaslException: GSS initiate failed [Caused by GSSException: No valid credentials provided (Mechanism level: Failed to find any Kerberos tgt)]
