2843419 - SAP Marketing - Subscription Segmentation Attribute does not show correct Newsletter Subscription Opt-Out

Symptom

The segmentation attribute MKT_PERM_NEWSLETTER (Subscription) shows unexpected results - although the contact is returned as opted-in from segmentation, the contact profile shows the newsletter subscription as opted-out. Including the affected contact in a newsletter campaign results in an OUTBOUND_CHCK_FAILED interaction due to reason PERMISSION_MISSING.
