2817683 - Timeslice error with s_xform_to_execute

Symptom

Customer hit in timeslice error with s_xform_to_execute. In the memory dump we can see the following stacks:

xform_to_execute
s_normalize

upyield
memalloc
memalloc_zero
s_xform_to_execute
s_normalize

In the memory dump we can also see a spinlock held on SSQLCACHE_SPIN.

The contention in the statement cache pool was high.

This started after upgrading to ASE 16.0 SP03 PL06. This doesn't occur on previous version (ASE 16.0 SP03 PL05).
