The following function calls are reported in the error log:

  • kitermproc()
    ibm_get_lock()
    s_xform_to_execute()
    s_normalize()
  • ssql_lookup()
    xform_to_execute()
    s_normalize()
  • upyield9()
    memalloc()
    memalloc_zero()
    s_xform_to_execute()
    s_normalize()
  • memory dump shows a spinlock held on SSQLCACHE_SPIN.
  • The contention in the statement cache pool was high
  • Upgrading to ASE 16.0 SP03 PL06
