Symptom

  • ASE server shuts down abruptly after hitting errors 539, 871, 716 :

server Error: 539, Severity: 20, State: 1
server Unexpected internal access methods error 0, state 34. Please report to Technical Support the following information: dbid=4, objectid=<objid> curcmd=196, plasterror=716, pstat=0x10100, p2stat=0x60001000, xactid=(<xactid>, 5).
server Error: 871, Severity: 20, State: 1
server Process <processnum> is trying to release a latch on buffer 0xa1c38d00 (dbid: 4, pageno: <pagenumber>) without holding a latch on the buffer.
