2803641 - Diagnostic Agent fails to check the status of Host Agent with a time out

Symptom

  • The metric Host Agent Connnection Status metric is red under System Monitoring:

  • If you check the Diagnostic Agent logs, it's possible to see this error:

[HostAgentStatusJobObserver] TIME OUT occured for Host Agent status checker. Action took -1ms.

  • With the Diagsnotic Agent logs in debug, you can see this message:

com.sap.smd.agent.plugin.connectors.webservice.WebServiceInvocationException: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out (local port XXXXto address XX.XXX.XX.XXX (hostname), remote port 1128 to address XX.XXX.XX.XXX (hostname))
