Symptom

In an ERP / SAP S/4HANA system, transaction SMQ2 shows a stuck queue entry with name QIM* / QIMD* and SYSFAIL error. Detailed error message is 'The plant was not found for delivery  item 000000', which occurred in function module QPLEXT_MATDOC_GET.
