2795773 - EPM template fails to open when opened through BPF hyperlink - BPC NW

Symptom

  • In BPC web client, when clicking on a BPF Activity hyperlink to open an EPM template, Microsoft Excel opens but the EPM report is NOT opened.
  • The following messages are found in the EPM trace file (file 'Trace_XXXXX.glf' in the EPM Log folder, usually \Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Temp\log):
An error occurred while trying to open workbook "C:\Users\User_name\Documents\PC_NW\User_name\TempLocalXLClient\ENVIRONMENT_NAME\MODEL_NAME\eEXCEL\FOLDER11111111111111111111111111_TEST\FOLDER2222222222222222222_TEST\TEMPLATE TEST TO BE OPENED THROUGH BPF ACTIVITY.XLSX"
Sorry, we couldn't find C:\Users\User_name\Documents\PC_NW\User_name\TempLocalXLClient\ENVIRONMENT_NAME\MODEL_NAME\eEXCEL\FOLDER11111111111111111111111111_TEST\FOLDER2222222222222222222_TEST\TEMPLATE TEST TO BE OPENED THROUGH BPF ACTIVITY.XLSX. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?
  • In Windows Explorer, if we go to the folder C:\Users\User_name\Documents\PC_NW\User_name\TempLocalXLClient\ENVIRONMENT_NAME\MODEL_NAME\eEXCEL\FOLDER11111111111111111111111111_TEST\FOLDER2222222222222222222_TEST and we try to open the file 'TEMPLATE TEST TO BE OPENED THROUGH BPF ACTIVITY.XLSX', we receive the same message in Microsoft Excel:
"Sorry, we couldn't find C:\Users\User_name\Documents\PC_NW\User_name\TempLocalXLClient\ENVIRONMENT_NAME\MODEL_NAME\eEXCEL\FOLDER11111111111111111111111111_TEST\FOLDER2222222222222222222_TEST\TEMPLATE TEST TO BE OPENED THROUGH BPF ACTIVITY.XLSX. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?"
