2793189 - How-to connect to Azure SQL DB using ODBC - SAP Data Services

Symptom

ODBC connections to Azure SQL are no longer working after upgrade to SAP Data Services 4.2 SP11.

 Get the following error in the DSConnectionManager.log:

  • CON-120307: Initialization
    ODBC call <SQLConnect> to connect database <AzureDBName> failed with error: <ODBC call <SQLConnect> for data source <DataSourceName> failed: <[SAP BusinessObjects][ODBC 20101 driver]1252>. Notify Customer Support.>. Use the ODBCDriverSelector (Windows) or DSConnectionManager.sh (UNIX) utility in LINK_DIR/bin to configure the correct version of the driver. If the problem still exists after selecting the correct version of the driver, notify Customer Support.
  • CON-120307: Initialization
