  • sp_shrink may cause a 3606 error with a message 'Arithmetic overflow occurred.'.
  • This error may occur if one of device fragments >= 2GB.
  • There are 2 patterns which can cause a 3606 error with a message 'Arithmetic overflow occurred.'
