You use Change Request Management to control your software distribution.
A new import feedback mechanism is introduced to enable the SAP Solution Manager system to react on import events in the managed systems.
As such, failed imports will now trigger an email to be sent to IT-Operators containing detailed information from the import log. Successful imports will now trigger an on-demand status shift sheduling via Tasklist.
The new mechanism is available as of ST7.2 SP08.
This feature is designed for Cycle level imports because there is no immediate feedback for the import triggered from the cycle tasklist.
For the imports triggered from the change documents this feature is not provided due to technical restrictions. But for change documents, like an urgent change, you can get an immediate feedback for the import directly in the document with the consistency checks.
The transport of copies import is also excluded from the import feedback scenario.
