Symptom

  • An "infected with signal 11" error in si_code() is reported in the ASE errorlog:
     
       Current process (0x1edd06e3) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

       Address 0x40a9080000000000 (si_code: 0x1, si_addr: 0x40a9080000000000), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x40a9080000000000)
  • It is followed by a stack trace which includes modules:

       _ZN8TraceOut11startXMLDocEPKc9QpDocType
       GenLavaPhase2
     
  • The client was running the Toad for Data Analysts program which executed the sp_depends system procedure.
