Symptom

  •  Application reports an error and underlying issue has been identified as a corrupted index of a user table in the <SID> database
  • A dbcc checktable excuted against the table reports

Index <tablename>~X is not consistent; found X leaf rows but Y data rows. Drop and recreate the index.
