- After importing SAP kernel 7.53 or SAP kernel 7.49, the MDX parser could not be started.
- The connection test is fine in SM59 for the TCP/IP connection 'MDX PARSER', the MDX parser cannot be started and applications such as BPC, APD or WEBI fail when running reports based on the MDX interface and the following error is observed:
- MDX statement error: Syntax error: Syntax Error : ..., row X, item: Y
In SM59 the TCP/IP connection MDXTEST works fine for the connection test.
Go to MDXTEST and execute a MDX statement or just a statement like 'test', errors related to starting the MDX parser are shown as below:
