2605269 - Configuration file SERVERNAME.001 keeps being overwritten - ASE

Symptom

Every time a configuration option is changed, the configuration file is archived with a 3 digit suffix.
When the suffix reached .999, subsequent configuration changes start archiving to the .001 file until SERVERNAME.999 is removed.
