Shutdown ASE in command line (ISQL) or through the Windows service hangs.
In the Event viewer of Windows you could see the following message:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
In the ASE error log you could see the following message:
00:0002:00000:00023:2018/01/21 11:56:03.62 kernel Job Scheduler Task state set to stop
00:0003:00000:00034:2018/01/21 11:56:03.64 kernel found active spid 33.
00:0004:00000:00034:2018/01/21 11:56:13.59 kernel found active spid 33.
00:0004:00000:00034:2018/01/21 11:56:23.65 kernel found active spid 33.
A SHUTDOWN command is already in progress. Please log off.
