2550618 - Unable to stop ASE using Windows Service manager.

Symptom

  • Running on a Windos platform can’t be stopped using the Windows Services Manager. A stack trace is reported in the errorlog. The process that is spawed at server startup produces a stack trace and after the attempt to shutdown the server this process has died.
