2542238 - LDAP Login to Business Central Fails

Symptom

  • The customer is running SAP Omnichannel Banking 8.3 SP01 PL03
  • The customer could not find the Security Guide for 8.3 SP01 PL03, but looking at the Security Guide for a later version of the product, section 1.2.8 shows how to integrate LDAP aauthentication into the Login for Business Central.
  • Following the steps provided in this section, the login always fails with the error:
Invalid user name or authentication credential(s). Please try again.
