When configuring SySAM Sub-capacity licensing referring to the document below.
- Environment variable SYBASE_SAM_CAPACITY is set as PARTITION or MACHINE.
- sysamcap PARTITION or sysamcap MACHINE returns the host-id for Sub-capacity like below.
- Generated an license file looks like below and the PE,LT matches the value in <Servername>.properties file.

- When running dbcc checkdb, message like below could report.
However the license file cannot be loaded to ASE successfully and the error message like below is displayed in ASE errorlog.
SySAM: Licensing capacity set to PARTITION licensing. All ASE instances running on hsscvlmdgc001 (HOSTID=PARTITION-ID=xxx xxx xxx xxx) will share licenses. License quantities are based on x logical processor(s), x core(s) in x chip(s).
SySAM: Failed to obtain license(s) for ASE_CORE feature from license file(s) or server(s).
SySAM: Licenses exist for ASE, but a license containing the configured (PE=xx;LT=xx) attributes could not be obtained. Verify that ASE is configured to use the correct type of license, and either reconfigure; or generate and deploy the desired license from the Sybase Product Download Center.
