2536135 - ASE Cockpit shutdown fails with a permission error

Symptom

  • ASE Cockpit was started as a Windows service
     
  • A subsequent command line shutdown of the server failed with a permission Error
     
    C:\ase16\COCKPIT-4\bin>cockpit --stop
    Operation failed: Shutdown failed: permission denied.
     
  • Error Messages logged to the agent.log do not specify the source of the permission problem.
