2504051 - Unable to connect to CMS

Symptom

Unable to successfully start your Server Intelligence Agent and Central Management Server (CMS)

CMS may initialize partially, taking a Process ID but may not allow logins or be responsive.

You may see errors in your MS Event or Linux messages logs similar to the following:

  • Fri Jul 07 2017 07:46:22 GMT-0400 (EDT) err: Error: Could not log on to CMS (STU00152)
  • Fri Jul 07 2017 07:46:22 GMT-0400 (EDT) err: Error description: Unable to connect to CMS fqdn.some.place:6400. A wrong connection is made to @@fqdn.some.place:6400. Logon cannot continue.
