2479467 - Troubleshooting for "DPC Configuration" activation error in Business Process Monitoring Setup with SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Symptom

Withing Business Process Monitoring Setup in SAP Solution Manager 7.1, attempting to activate configured monitoring objects results in the following errors: 

  • "DPC Configuration for <object name>completed with errors, see transaction SLG1:E2E_ALERTING/DPC_SETUP"
  • "Activation of monitoring object <object name> on 22.03.2017 at 21:42:37 by <user profile> failed"

In checking the application logs via transaction SLG1 for object E2E_ALERTING and subobject DPC_SETUP, the supporting error messages are displayed:

  • "Cannot retrieve meta data from LMDB for <System SID>/ST_PI, reason: <System SID>: no Landscape data available.
      Extractor definition for <AGENT_NAME> could not be fixed: WLI entry is not unique.
      Extractor definition for <System SID>/ST_PI could not be fixed: Worklist item <System SID>/ST_PI was not fixed..
      Extractor definition for <System SID>/ST_PI_15 could not be fixed: Worklist item<System SID>/ST_PI_15 was not fixed..       
      Setup: No RFC destination for SID <System SID> - Client <Client number>"
