Symptom

You are using Business Process Monitoring on Solution Manager 7.2 and from the SAP Solution Manager launchpad you try to open the Alert Inbox or the Business Process Monitoring application. Instead of the application you get an "HTTP request failed: Bad Request" error and an UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION dump with exception CX_SMUD_ASSERT_D.
