In a workflow scenario, it could happen that the initiator of the workflow has less permissions than the approver of the workflow, resulting that the approver will have access to some more fields, part of which could be mandatory fields.
If in such situation, a workflow is triggered and the approver of the workflow presses 'Update' the system will request these fields to be filled.
But alternatively, if the approver directly presses 'Approve' without pressing 'Update' before, the system will save the changes anyway even if these mandatory fields are empty.
