2448800 - Signal 11 in ~PtlXmlQuery - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Running a complex XML query.
  • The end user receives a 712 error:

There is insufficient heap memory to allocate <size> bytes. Please increase configuration parameter 'heap memory per user' or try again when there is less activity on the system. 

  • The users connection then dies.
  • A stacktrace appears in the ASE errorlog including the functions:
     
       PtlXmlQuery::~PtlXmlQuery
       XmlXQueryClose
       bi_xml_xquery_close
