2400906 - HTTP HEAD request is not allowed in SAP Cloud Platform Integration, message "405 Method Not Allowed"

Symptom

You send a HTTP HEAD request to SAP Cloud Platform Integration using a client application, for example in postman, but you receive the following error back:

405 Method Not Allowed

Or if you execute the PING test in SOAMANAGER then the following error is displayed:

SRT Framework Exception: Service Ping ERROR: Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("connection to partner broken")

Also in SAP Cloud Platform Integration you see that the following failed message was created based on this HTTP HEAD request:

Inbound processing in endpoint at <endpoint name> failed with message "Fault: HTTP verb was not GET or POST"

In ABAP system using a "Connection Test" functionality in the SM59 destination (which is pointing to any IFlow endpoint) the "ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_BROKEN" error will be triggered.
